Ignite Change
- Club Leaders meet with small groups of children or youth on a regular basis, for leadership, skill development, outdoor, field trip, service, and other learning and growth activities
- Leaders accompany youth on Council sponsored events and Club camp outs
- Training and curriculum is provided by the Camp Fire USA Inland Northwest Council
- The Camp Fire USA program is flexible and encourages Leaders to adjust activities and projects to meet the needs of youth in their Clubs.
- Clubs typically meet once a week. But meeting times are flexible to the schedules of Leaders and families and Clubs can meet: every week, every other week, or even monthly. Find out more about becoming a leader.
Who Mentors?
Everybody! Men and women of all ages, with or without children, business professionals or stay at home parents. One thing connects us all-- the desire for our community's children to grow to be strong, caring adults.
How much times does it take?
Small group mentoring, or Clubs, usually take place once a week for an hour or so. The amount of time it take to prepare for a Club meeting is up to you, but it typically takes from one to two hours.
How would I know what to do?
The Inland Northwest Council also provides opportunities for growth and leadership development among our current adult volunteers and Club Leaders. We set our Club Leaders up for success and provide opportunities for leadership development for our adults through networking opportunities, trainings, and providing resources throughout the year. Camp Fire USA provides the resources to succeed including: training, resource materials, social networking, online materials, blogging and much more. We are always looking for new and creative tools to help our leaders.
