Camp Fire is open to everyone. We embrace the uniqueness of every individual and family every day. Our inclusive program focuses on building skills and gaining self-esteem as a part of the outdoor experience. We want every child to have the opportunity to participate in the magic of camp. Campers with special needs are encouraged to attend our camp sessions. We are a legacy partner of the National Inclusion Project – Lets ALL Play program. Campers with special needs have the opportunity to say “You bet I CAN!” (YBIC) and participate in all of our camp activities alongside their peers. Camp Sweyolakan accepts campers ages 6 – 25, while Camp Dart-Lo can accommodate campers ages 6 – 21. Campers must be able to navigate uneven terrain and be potty trained, or attend with a caregiver to assist.

Camp Sweyolakan is located on 300 acres of forest on the shore of Lake Coeur d’Alene. It is only accessible by boat. Camp Fire Inland Northwest provides a variety of ways for campers to arrive at and depart from Camp Sweyolakan to and from the Spokane and Coeur d’Alene areas.
Join us for an Open House in July to see Camp Sweyolakan in action. Ride on the boat to meet the staff, check it out and try out camp activities!
Each year Camp Sweyolakan builds a team of more than 75 counselors, activity specialists, support roles, and supervisors to create the best possible summer for our campers. Summer Camp Job Listings
In addition to staff, Camp Sweyolakan depends on volunteers, including nurses, cooks and other supportive roles. Children of volunteers may be enrolled in summer camp for free! Summer Camp Volunteer Opportunities
